Quincy Car Crash Leaves Two Seriously Injured

A car crash on Granite Avenue in Quincy on Wednesday 12/7 has left two teenagers with serious injuries, with one remaining hospitalized for further care. According to reports, the crash happened around 3:16 P.M. and resulted in substantial damage to both vehicles. Initial reporting indicates that one of the vehicles appears to have crossed over a median, slamming into a vehicle driving in the opposite direction.

The Quincy Police Department announced on Thursday that Granite Street will remain closed to allow the Accident Reconstruction Unit to process the crash and further investigate the cause.

While the cause remains unclear, initial reporting indicates that at least one of the drivers appears to have lost control of their vehicle causing the crash. In Massachusetts, all drivers must maintain control over their vehicle at all times and must avoid doing anything that could lead to a crash which includes a duty to avoid risky behaviors such texting while driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, or simply failing to pay attention to the traffic and/or road conditions in front of them.
